Giles Gillett is the managing director and founder of the New Leaders Foundation (NLF), a not-for-profit company operating in the education sector. NLF focuses on strengthening the capacity and efficiency of the education system to manage and use learner and educator data to improve interventions in schools. Giles has worked in both the public and private sectors as a high school accounting teacher, a management consultant, executive coach, and currently, as a social entrepreneur.

His core interest is in the effective management of change in large systems, and his mission is to support the South African government to improve learner performance in the education system. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Financial Accounting and Psychology), a Higher Diploma in Education, a Diploma in Advanced Practitioner Coaching, and a Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship. Giles is a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative-South Africa, a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, and a member of Entrepreneurs Organisation.
