Penreach is a social impact organisation that works with partners to improve the education offering eventual outcomes for children from early childhood to Grade 12. Penreach supports the objective of the national development plan 90% of children achieving above 50% in math and science.

Penreach is a non-profit organisation, established in 1991, focusing on education in a pipeline from ECD to matric, providing access to quality education in rural communities in Mpumalanga. Penreach offers programmes to provide skills and knowledge in Early Childhood Development, Primary School, and High School. Penreach is one of (if not “the”) largest educational outreach programme in the country with a track record in teacher development and learner support of more than 25 years.

The vision of the Penryn Trust, namely to ensure that all children have access to educational excellence, is executed through two entities. While Penryn College, as a school, is responsible for ensuring excellence in its classrooms and centres of learning, Penreach beams excellence into the broader educational community.

Our experienced Change Agents build capacity with educators and school leaders working closely with the Department of Education and school circuits. Through skills development, mentoring and coaching we are able to impact positively on education. Our beneficiaries include children aged 0 to Grade 12, teacher, school leaders, and parents.

Our mission aim is to provide access to quality educational through our interventions to our beneficiaries. The Vision Educational excellence for one and for all South Africans. Our Value Penreach promotes caring as our core value. We care about education, we care about our staff, and we care about others.

Penreach has reached more than 500 913 beneficiaries in 2019 with the various programmes. With a reach into 105 ECD centres, 97 schools, 17 Circuits, 402 Volunteer Reading Camps, 125 communities and the classrooms of 9037 teachers.

We conduct coaching, mentoring, training and development. Penreach strengthens the capacity of leaders and educators within Mpumalanga to deliver educational excellence to children from 0 years to grade 12. We offer five programmes to support the national goal of 90% of children achieving above 50%in Maths, Science and Language by 2030. Penreach has built valuable relationships in Mpumalanga over the past 26 years including the Department of Education.

Programmes include: Early Childhood Development, Literacy & Numeracy, Maths & Science, School Leadership Development, and Special projects: Skills Development, Bursaries, Artreach and SportreachPenreach works in the Ehlanzeni, Bohlabela, Gert Sibande, and Nkangala districts in the Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.

Penreach aims to impact positively on the lives of more than 8, 9 million people that are unemployed in South Africa.
