The SACECD was started in March 1994 and has a national office in Pretoria with Provincial Executive Committees Registered as a PBO and in all nine provinces. Does training of ECD Practitioners towards a Level 4 qualification ID:58761; Registration of ECD Centres as Partial Care Facilities; Lobbying and advocating government and stakeholders to increase access to ECD; manages a Provident Fund for ECD Practitioners with NBC Holdings; Capacity building short courses for organisations and ECD centres; Policy development and research in ECD.
