Established in 1979 and affiliated with the global JA Worldwide network since 2001, Junior Achievement (JA) South Africa equips young people with the entrepreneurial, financial, digital, and work readiness skills needed to thrive in an evolving economy. Through experiential learning programs for primary school learners, high school learners, and out of school youth, we prepare young people for employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong economic participation. Our flagship initiatives include the JA Company Program, Youth Enterprise Development Program (YEDP), JA Digital Entrepreneurship Education Platform (JA DEEP), Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program, and JA Social Equity Program. All programs are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and endorsed by the South African Department of Basic Education. JA South Africa works in partnership with businesses, government, educational institutions, and development organizations to strengthen education to employment pathways, expand opportunities for young people, and create lasting social and economic impact.
