The Learning Trust is developing South Africa’s extended learning sector through the provision of funding and capacity support to After School programmes that work to improve educational outcomes of young people living in poverty and exclusion. We support innovative, early-stage and community-based education non-profits.

As a well-regarded grant-maker and capacity support service provider, we provide modest financial support and help build the capacities of emerging organisations in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Gauteng.

The Learning Trust is championing the After School sector in South Africa by developing quality practitioners and building sustainable organisations. We offer focused training, mentorship and coaching in a variety of organisational development areas, and provide platforms for sharing and collaboration amongst After School programmes that serve young people in underserved communities.
