At TNF, we increase equitable access to education for youth (ages 5-35) in historically disadvantaged African communities. To do this, we work alongside a network of global and local partners, teachers, and youth to build intentionally designed environments that are conducive for learning. We provide youth with supportive and inspiring learning spaces to become emotionally healthy, resilient, confident, and globally active citizens. We ensure early learners and foundation phase youth (ages 5-9) receive the developmental skills in reading and math to thrive in future learning spaces. We equip teachers with the leadership capacity, tools and skills to become innovative problem-solvers with the power to mobilise and change community mindsets. Through computer training and weekend classes, we increase digital literacy and access to technological resources for teachers, students, and community members. We support township economies by procuring building and classroom supplies through local small businesses, putting money back into the community.
