Susanna Oosthuizen is a qualified communicator and education expert, skilled at managing people as well as process to achieve objectives. She has experience working at two independent (private), English language schools in South Africa, namely St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls (Hatfield) and Penryn College. She held various positions at these institutions that have honed her personal skills set. Both are members of the Independent Schools Association of South Africa (ISASA).
As the Chief Operating Officer of Penreach NPC, Susanna ensures the effective implementation of approximately 11 funded projects, to the value of ZAR 30 million per annum. The focus of all these projects is teacher professional development including pre-school practitioners, language teachers and the integration of technology into teaching for all phases. She is also responsible for the fundraising function, funding proposal concept development and stakeholder relations. Susanna has experience in monitoring and evaluation, is skilled in training and learning design.
Susanna’s specific skills include education management, ICT in education, communication, strategic planning, financial management, project management, interpersonal communication and systems and process improvement. She is currently involved with NASCEE’s Fundraising, Communication and Strategic Planning.
