Bringing the TICZA Common Competency Framework to Life - 2 September 2025

The TICZA Common Competency Framework (CCF) is an output of the Teacher Internship Collaboration South Africa (TICZA). TICZA Webinar 2 hosted by NASCEE explored the purpose of the CCF, its key features, and how it can be applied by TICZA partners – and, potentially, by other stakeholders in initial teacher education and professional development.

As TICZA approaches the end of its fifth year, there are exciting plans to pilot the Common Competency Framework (CCF) and run a prototype of the Extended Student Teacher Internship (ESTI) model, in support of Initial Teacher Education. The webinar explored how the CCF, designed specifically for application in ESTIs, can be used by different stakeholders in this context.
