NASCEE, in partnership with VVOB Education for Development and Kagiso Trust, invites education stakeholders to the Gauteng Regional Networking Event.

Under the theme Strengthening the Use of Reading Data for Improved Literacy Outcomes, the event will bring together government, civil society organisations, practitioners, researchers and implementing partners to explore how data can be used more effectively to strengthen literacy interventions and improve reading outcomes.

Participants will engage with practical approaches to generating, interpreting, synthesising and applying literacy data, drawing on administrative systems, assessments, programme implementation, research and evidence utilisation.

The conversation will also explore data driven decision making in literacy, emerging evidence in early grade reading, practical experiences in building reading data pipelines and how different sources of data can support stronger planning, implementation and continuous improvement.

NASCEE senior leadership will also demonstrate how the NED Connect platform can support greater collaboration and contribute to strategic, data informed decision making across the education ecosystem.

Through shared learning and networking, the event will provide an opportunity to connect with government and sector partners, align programmes with provincial priorities and identify new opportunities for collaboration to improve reading outcomes for learners across Gauteng.
